Meet your teacher. Try a little Chinese.
A free 30-minute one-on-one lesson, online. Try learning with your teacher, share your goals, and ask anything you’re curious about. We’ll explore the right small group or private lessons for you. This trial is just you and your teacher; you won’t meet classmates yet.
How it works
- 1
Tell us when you are free
Pick a slot, or send us a couple of times that work in your time zone. Either way you get a confirmed time and a video link by email.
- 2
Share a little about yourself
Tell us what you’d like to do in Chinese, where you’re starting from, and what you’d like help with. Your teacher can shape the lesson around you.

Pick your time
All times are shown in your own time zone. You will get a confirmation email with the video link, plus a reminder before the lesson.

What we ask when you book
- What do you want to be able to do in Chinese?
- Where are you now — in your own words, not a level number.
- What have you already tried, and what is not working?
Your teacher reads these before the lesson, so the 30 minutes go on teaching rather than introductions.
Come as you are.
You don’t need to prepare a speech, know your HSK level, or have the perfect answer. Bring a question, a goal, or simply your curiosity. We’ll start from where you are.
And afterwards?
Nothing is automatic — the trial ends and that is that. If you want to carry on, one-on-one lessons are $30 per hour with cheaper prepaid packs, and there is a small-group course if you would rather learn alongside others.
FAQ
Is the trial lesson really free?
Yes. The 30-minute trial costs nothing and does not require a card. If you want to continue afterwards, group lessons are $10 per session and private lessons are $30 per hour. There is no obligation to join either.
How long is the trial?
30 minutes. That is long enough to work out your level, hear you speak, and agree what to work on — a full 60-minute session is the paid format.
What level do I need to be?
Any level, including complete beginner. Tell us where you are in the booking form and the teacher will pitch the lesson accordingly.
Will I be sold something during the lesson?
No. The trial is a lesson, not a sales call. At the end you get an honest view of where you are and what to do next, whether or not you book anything.
What do I need for the lesson?
A quiet spot, headphones, and a device with a camera. Your confirmation email includes the video link and instructions for joining.
