Can I start without knowing any Chinese?
Yes. Your first lesson starts with asking someone’s name and introducing yourself. You’ll have pinyin, English translations and audio in the app to help you follow along.
Do I need an account or a credit card?
Neither is needed to start your first lesson. You can learn as a guest and decide whether to create an account or explore Premium later.
What if I already know some Chinese?
Choose “I already know some Chinese” on the app’s welcome page to select your starting level. A level test is also available if you’re unsure where to begin.
Do I have to be preparing for an HSK exam?
No. HSK gives your learning a structure, but the lessons cover everyday situations too. You can use the app to build your Chinese whether or not you plan to take an exam.
Can I come back to my lesson later?
Yes. Guest progress is saved on the device or browser you use. Return there to continue. Keep using the same browser and avoid clearing its data; a different device won’t automatically have your guest progress.
