This Privacy Policy describes how Pass HSK (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use our mobile application (the “App”).
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information to provide and improve our service
A. Personal Data
When you create an account, we may ask for personally identifiable information, specifically
Email Address: Used for account authentication, password recovery, and identification.
User ID: A unique identifier assigned to your account.
B. Usage Data
We collect data generated by your use of the App to track your learning progress, including
Quiz results and scores.
Progress in different HSK levels.
Log data (e.g., app crashes, strictly for debugging purposes).
C. Transaction Data
We do not store your credit card or banking information directly. All financial transactions are handled by the Apple App Store. However, we do receive transaction receipts via our payment processor (RevenueCat) to validate your subscription status or lifetime purchase (e.g., “Pro” status).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data for the following purposes
To provide and maintain the App (e.g., syncing your progress across devices).
To manage your account and authentication via Supabase.
To process payments and manage subscriptions via RevenueCat.
To monitor the usage of the App and detect technical issues.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We employ third-party companies to facilitate our service. These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
Supabase: We use Supabase for authentication and database services. (See Supabase Privacy Policy)
RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. (See RevenueCat Privacy Policy)
4. Data Retention and Deletion
We will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.
Your Rights (Delete Account)
You have the right to request the deletion of your account and associated data. You can perform this action directly within the App by navigating to Settings > Delete Account. Upon confirmation, your account and personal data will be permanently removed from our database.
If you no longer have the App installed or cannot access your account, you can also request account deletion by sending an email to support@passhsk.app. We will process your request and delete your data within 7 days.
5. Security of Your Data
The security of your data is important to us. We use industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS) provided by our backend partners (Supabase) to protect your personal information during transmission and storage. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
6. Children’s Privacy
Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
